The Glendale Recreation and Civic Association began transforming our neighborhood in 1961 and is one of the peninsula’s best pool communities around!  It costs, on average, more than $140K to open and maintain our pool through Labor Day.  Insurance premiums, water, chemicals, food costs and labor costs are just some of the bigger line items that your membership fees cover each year.  

As an increasingly aging property, the ability to maintain the quality of our pool and its grounds gets more difficult each year.  In order to mitigate some of these costs, a Maintenance Fee of $100 has been introduced to help foster a larger volunteer base and to raise funds for necessary repairs and improvements. 

Members not wishing to volunteer their time may pay the maintenance fee in lieu of fulfilling their volunteer hours. For members volunteering their time, a total of 8 hours (6 hours for our Senior and Single memberships) must be earned prior to opening day. Hours earned after opening day will be applied to next season’s (2027) volunteer hours.

There will be multiple work days for members to fulfil their volunteer requirements.  If you choose to pay without a maintenance fee and volunteer your time, please complete the form at the bottom of this page to share with our House/Grounds team.

Volunteer Guidelines:

  • We will track all members paying without a fee to maintain accuracy in hours worked.
  • One adult from your household can work the full 8 hours or two adults (max) can work 2 four hour shifts needed per household.
  • After Pre-Season work days, members can volunteer their time with Events that run throughout the pool season.
  • Children 12 and under do not count towards service hours.
  • Cleanup dates will be posted to our social media outlets and emailed to all members.
  • Month-to-month members do not qualify.

Rate Structure

  • All membership rates are subject to change by the ruling of the Board of Directors.
  • Once your application is approved, you will receive an email with next steps on how to complete your payment.
  • Membership rates are not transferable or interchangeable.
  • Reminder of Payment Processing Options:

    • ACH Online (no fees apply) No Personal Checks accepted

An annual “free membership” raffle for the following year will be announced on Labor Day weekend (Monday).

Membership Guidelines

  • Single Membership requires an age of 18 years or older
  • Senior Membership is defined as age 62 or older and restricted to no more than a 1 or 2 person membership.
  • Unlimited use of the grounds during the open pool season
  • Only Family Memberships cover in-house dependents (up to 8 people – contact Board directly if this number needs to be increased).
  • In town guests are $6 per day.  See Rules & Regulations for details
  • Voting rights at annual members meeting
  • Ability to run for/hold Board of Directors positions

Month to Month Memberships

You have the option to select a month to month membership for the pool.  This select membership is only valid for:

June 1-30; July 1-31 and/or Aug 1-31

Please note, there will be no pro-rating of mid-month dates (i.e. if you join on 7/12/26 the cost of your July membership will be what is priced above.

These memberships are only be available for the dates stated above.

Membership sales are final.  If unused, you may not request a refund or ask to carry-over to the next pool season.  Once application is submitted…applicant agrees to disclaimer stated within.
